We're back!!

Well I get the feeling I'm going to get lynched - but we are after 3 full days downtime BACK!

Sorry it took so long - I worked nearly 26hrs over the weekend to do the update - and it's still not 100% perfect

We're now on Vbulletin 4.0 Suite - which includes a nice new front end (which you can visit by clicking Home)

I realise the front page needs a LOT of work - we haven't written any content yet (any volunteers?) and the twitter links etc.. don't work
I am working every night this week to finish it - but I couldn't justify any more down time - I wanted to get the site back up

The database has been completely cleaned out and optimised - and we're running a whole new search engine
I'm a bit twitchy about the search engine - it took over 48 hours to build the search indexes for 1.5 million posts - but hopefully it should work now and be a fair bit quicker

We've obviously now got a whole new look and feel for the site as well - some new colours - a bit easier on the eyes

I'm pretty wired and tired all at the same time at the moment - so I'll leave it there for now

Get using it, playing with it - see what you can break. If you find any bugs - throw them up here and I'll work through them - screenshots would be great too

Home page links point to forum instead of their proper locations, language is English (US)...you'll get the grammar nazi's on your case about that.

I'll keep testing...

The 'settings' link top right goes to subscribed threads, apart from that I can't see any other way of getting to them as well...

So for the next few days it's gonna be offline. I'll create a page where you can buy merchandise through paypal like the old shop hopefully tonight - just as a temporary measure

Search function is much better, you can use just 3 characters now, yay!

I'll start being really anal...there's some annoying blue dot behind the text 'view first unread' at the top of the threads...

If you click 'my profile' it doesn't display the avatar where it should be (well it doesn't for me anyway...)

Arrghhh I was hoping this would fix it - what error are you getting? and are you trying to upload a pic from your computer or link to one already online?
