General Rules
- Please do not post "FAO" (for the attention of) threads - If you need to contact somebody directly please use our PM system.
- When giving advice in a technical thread, try to only post if it is something you have personal experience about. Don't reply with an answer if you are "guessing" or "unsure".
- Please do not make abusive, racist or offensive comments through threads/posts or private messages.
- Attachments are allowed and this forum is meant to be a friendly adult based community, but please do not post pornographic or offensive material.
- You can upload your own custom avatars, but as above please don't use any pornographic or offensive images.
- Please try to make your new threads in the correct forum. We have technical forums - so if you are asking a question about your engine please make it in the engine forum. Our moderators are volunteers and only have a limited amount of time to "clean" the forum so please try to help us.
- Please don't bump your post back to the top of the forum with "BTTT" or "Bump" posts more often than once every 24 hours.
- You can have your own signature but please use your common sense. Massive signatures slow down the forum and make it much more difficult to read. Images can be linked to but are restricted to 500x100 pixels.
- Please do NOT speak in "txt spk" or using only capitals. Everyone here is friendly and will try to help you if you need advice, but you are less likely to receive help if your message is difficult to read.
- Absolutely NO public racing/top speed posts. We strongly discourage any form of street racing! Track days are there for people who want to test the limits of their cars. The public high way is shared by families and racing puts those people in danger!
- Absolutely NO police slagging posts. No matter what personal feelings you have the UK police force do a good job and we have a few police officers on the forum. So keep your personal feelings to yourself.
- Please stay ON TOPIC. If you want to start a new conversation simply start a new thread.
- This is at the end of the day a 106 owners club forum, it is NOT a dating agency, or a social networking site. Flirting, chatting, dating or whatever with other members is fine but keep it to the PM system. Chat about other cars is welcome in the car chat forum, general chat is allowed in the members only lounge where, obviously, general socialising is encouraged but needless spam will be removed.
- Advertising of national and regional events is encouraged, but please do not advertise cruises or cruise sites.
- Absolutely NO promoting other forums/clubs/sites/companies without prior permission from club staff.
- If you want to advertise your company, then please contact phil@106owners.co.uk before you do so. We are happy to advertise companies on the forum after you have asked permission.
Trading Rules
- NEVER post in a for sale thread unless you are genuinely interested in buying the item.
- ALL for sale threads must clearly state a price, and payment method you prefer. If you do not put a price on your advert it will be removed by moderators.
- You can create threads in the "cars for sale" forum without a price if you are asking for an evaluation, or gauging interest before you sell
- Please update your advert with "SOLD" when the item is no longer available and close the thread.
- The trade forums are meant as an area for club members to trade, they are not meant to be used for you to advertise your company. If you are breaking more than just 1 car, or selling a batch of items (trading) please email phil@106owners.co.uk first to ask for permission. If you are trading on the forum you may be asked to make a small donation towards the running of the site. After donating you will receive an "Approved Trader" status on the forum.
