Right, I have recently replaced the IACV on my quiky, which I thought had solved the problem of the lumpy idle and throttle release.
But now I have developed a rather annoying running water noise, a little bit like water in radiator pipes of a central heating system when I accelerate and the biggest problem,
when the car is warm and you dip the clutch to come to a stop it stalls. It even stalls when trying to change gear.
WTF?
Any Ideas?

???
!st thing i'd do is bleed the coolant, that can be the only reason for the noise!

Yeah check the level - mine started making that noise over winter and it turned out the water level was down near the bottom of the reservoir on the rad - not good
The stalling when dipping clutch is nearly always idle control valve, but if you've had that replaced thats weird
May be map sensor or coil pack I suppose ???

Cheers.
I shall check the level later on.
Got a brand new coil pack so out of those two most likely to be the MAP sensor.
Can I do the MAP sensor myself or is this a dealer job?
Something I have noticed is when it isn't raining it is fine? ???

Hmmm sounds like you've got something getting damp then - maybe coil pack isnt sealing properly although then you'd get a misfire
Map sensor is just screwed into the front of the airbox (if yours is 2000+) - 2 minute swap

I got a pre 2000 (1999 treg)
I shall check all the seals on the coil pack to make sure.
It idles fine when the car is stationary, it only does it when moving?

Just ordered me a new MAP sensor for £33.
Something he did say though was it could have something to do with a f***ked throttle body! Same issue that his mate had on his rallye and that was the body after all the sensors had been changed.

Zen, what and where is the TPS sensor?
I have bought and changed the throttle body now and it seems to have cured the problem . . . for now

sounds to me like, its maybe not the sensor, but its the connection to the sensor, specially with it only bn a problem when the car is in motion
