OK guys, its about time we organised a WMM,

Where? When? and Who?

I have a few suggestions depending on where everyone lives, I myself am from Coventry, but ca travel to and around most of the Midlands.

Hams Hall or Bikers World on the A444,
Tamworth Maccy's
Asda in Miniworth
Various carparks and Maccys all over the midlands lol
Its up to you guys....

Im not the regional Leader for the WM but i would like to organise a meet, to get to know u guys, see what you all have, and what your ideas and everything is for your cars.

First of all we need a list of names of people that can make it or at least would be interested.....and i dont care if its 1, 2 or even 50 people that show, i will still be there, n willing to meet.

Come on now guys, lets get the WM 106 Meet goin??

I will come along to this, even though i'm a member of another club. It shows we're all friends. Show my support to a relatively new region

Of course depending on when, where.

My suggestion would be to start the meet around 12-2pm on a Sunday at a pub.

Nice suggestion there mate, n e fave pubs or cheap pubs? lol ((NOT that we will be drinking and driving tho?)) lol

We could start at a pub, get to kno people, put names to faces and everything, then cruise....sorry drive to a place n get photoshooting....I got a nice 8mp camera lol but if n e one has a professional camera then please be my guest.

From what i can gather, Birmingham seems to be the most central place to us all, so it seems only sensible to have it there....

WOZ - in response to your post mate, it doesnt matter what car club or organisation your with, its an owners club, the only rules are u must own a 106....we not guna judge or discrminate against ya....ya muppit! lol oh and very nice car by the way!

Ok guys pass the word, around?

hows about a pub along the A38 by Fradley, about 20miles outside brum and i've been there before. Food is great and the prices are very good aswell. :)

It's easy to find, very nice inside and it's got a karting track 5 mile up the road.

I can see if we can book a table, so we arn't turned away.

Sunday afternoon as more people are likely to turn up;)

Sunday 12th August at 1pm, gives people a chance and it's not a last minute call??

Zippy
02-08-2007, 07:26 PM

only problem with maccy's is people will see it as a cruize and i doubt members on this club(just like FSC) want people to look at it this way.

JimmyBoy
03-08-2007, 02:49 PM
fair point....

Well there are various carparks we could use but i wud love to get some scenery in the photo shots aswell.....the carpark and building scene has been used too much lol

woz_106
03-08-2007, 06:13 PM
the place i mentioned has a river with a road running near it and a small pub at the end(doesn't serve food though). Very easy on the eye. About 2 mile away from the pub i mentioned earlier

rushy_23
03-08-2007, 06:48 PM
If its a nice cheap meet I may be tempted to make a lil appearance.

woz_106
03-08-2007, 06:52 PM
at this pub I suggested you would be looking at about a tenner at most, food on the menu with a drink aswell.

Then your petrol depending where your from.

I drove to Pugfest which is 70miles from my house and the car was still spotless even on the motorway when it was raining in places and also down the cheltenham lanes.

Huxley, unfortunatly mate if we move it closer to you then the lads who live south will also find it hard....mayb you are better in the more northern regions? Have u checked in them to see where abouts they meet?

joe106gti
06-08-2007, 03:03 PM

XSI-BeN
06-08-2007, 05:44 PM
well ill definatly arrange for us dudley boys to meet up first most likely toys r us/mcdonalds car park in oldbury just off the M5 J2 before we come to the actual meet that way we can all get there together and no 1 gets lost. plus it luks gud :P

JimmyBoy
06-08-2007, 05:56 PM
Yes Ben this is gonna be the first BIG WMM and its gonna be great, nearer the time we will arrange for either a decent camera or photographer to join us, so we can really get this a noticable event on 106owners, This will be my first meet as well, but im sure if we all club together we can make it worthwhile!!!

The main purpose of this meet is to get to know each other, put names to faces and cars. Its a real ice breaker for newbies (who are definately all welcome) and just generally a good day out!

Soon we can organise for different types of meets to thrill all the types of drivers, for example:

Drag racing - we need to find a nice strip that is safe and STRAIGHT lol
Cruise's - Not the best type of meet, but another chance for a cruise photo
PhotoMeets - Drive to a location (possibly more) and have a day speciically for photos. (this is where each members individual creativity can come out)
Treasure hunt - Takes more planning but is great fun. lol
Location Hunt - Teams drive to a given location as quick as they can, take a photo of them there and get back as quick as they can.Any other ideas are more than welcome, come on guys lets all pull together, lets make driving even MORE fun lol.

Whatever you decide, please, for the love of god, DO NOT have it at Festival Park in Hanley as Huxley suggested.

That place is just a large estate with Curry's, Morrisons etc on it.

It is where ALL the chavs go and all they do is drive round and round.

So please don't have it there as the members of this place will deffinately NOT enjoy it. There is literally hundred's of cars driving round in circles. Oh, and they get pulled over a lot as the police do patrol the area....they just don't learn though

JimmyBoy
08-08-2007, 03:46 PM
thank you for the heads up QUICKMAND, so sorry Huxley, it sounds like its not the best place to go to....i think we have decided on our original suggestion, just ouside of birmingham. ((As quoted from - WOZ 106)) The pub along the A38 by Fradley, about 20miles outside brum. Food is great and the prices are very good aswell.

Woz - if we could have the name of the pub please mate as well as the PostCode for us satnav users?

Ok guys look out for the new thread coming soon guys, all the information is pulled together in that one...
