There's some great trick touches there that I've never noticed, silver door handles, delocked, washers moved and aerial gone. Looks great ;D Where is the aerial now, or do you just not have one altogether?

If you don't mind me asking, how much has it all cost so far?

That's a personal question you will not get an answer to. ;)

He works in a bodyshop so that probably helps with bodywork prices.

Just a quick rant!
Sorry but not in the best of moods today i mean no offence to anymore and im not the type of person to have a rant about anything but few things need to be said.

Dan - No offence mate but this is my car car and my thread i can answer the questions myself. Thanks

Everyone Else
asking about money - I dont want to sound a twat but its my car and ill spend how much money i want on it, if i want something doing to the car i will do it no matter of the cost becasue ill save for it and work extra hours to achieve it and pay for it. Im not the type of person to go bragging about how much money ive spent on the car either, nobody knows how much ive spent and thats the way i want it to be and i dont like people guessing figures aswell.
Its my money at the end of the day and il will spend it how i wish, yeah i could of bought alot of other things with my money but i dont want to i just want to build a car for myself at the end of the day and thats what im doing and iam going to achieve it.

Rant over.
Sorry.

You have a fair point, sorry if I offended you. I shouldn't have asked such a personal question :(

On a better note though, the car looks awesome. Well done on getting a non-ice man impressed at an install (if you know what I mean). I can't belive the amount of work that has gone into it and I love the subtle touches ;)

10th Feb - New Screen

After getting my car back from plush after all the interior work the centre screen stopped working so Luke had a look at for me, the screen just didnt want to work at all, so came to the conclusiuon it was a faulty screen so Luke kindly replaced the screen, re-made and re-trimmed the whole panel free of charge!! Top Man!

So the new screen is a Veba 5.8'' awesome screen quaility is amazing well happy with it, these screen can be supplied by Luke if anyone is intrested in them, i would highly reccomend them.

Thanks again mate yet more quailty work:D

Heres some piccys- enjoy

That's what I like about your car, you don't notice anything until you look properly, then you can see all the subtle things. Even though its very modified, it still looks as though it could be standard (in a good way :p)

Havent took the old ones off yet mate, but i would suggest removing the bumpers first to take them off will be easier to remove the strips then.

Heres a work in progress update, started doing some work to the front bumper now hopefully will be finished end of the week, and got my rallye fog inserts coming on friday too :)

Number plate off and middle bar cut out:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image012-1.jpg

Here i cut some plastic off the middle bar, cut it down to shape to match the gap left where i cut the bar out then fibreglassed over it both sides so it got some strengh in it:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image013.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image016.jpg

And finally making the bumper inserts in to one:

Sorry for the poor quailty pics, hope you like :)

Had the front bumper off again on saturday so i could fit my rallye inserts also i meshed them and cut the mesh to size for the rest of the bumper (which will be fitted at a later date and the numberplate is only cable tied there temperoy due to more work in progress for the front end ;) )

Bad update: :(

Went to wind down the coilovers couple of saturdays ago and found out that the passenger one had been leaking pretty bad, so gutted to find this :(

So this week i received a pair of P.I lowering springs -50mm to fit so i could use the car as i dont know how long the coilovers will take to get repaired, luckly i kept my old struts so i could fit my new springs also i fitted 2 new front wheel bearings.

Driver coilover:

Bad passenger coilover :(

Good Update:

Started yet more bodywork on the quiky today, so i got cracking with the rear bumper smoothing the joins on the bumpstrips.

First off keyed the plastic for the fibreglass with 80 grit:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image036-1.jpg

Applied the fibreglass:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image038-1.jpg

Then it was grinded down:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image040-1.jpg

Time for couple of skims of filler then sanded ect...:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image042-2.jpg

The rest of the bumpstrip was sanded with 180grit to key it and smooth it down abit for primer:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image047.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image048.jpg

Then guide coat was applied:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Seicent0/Image049.jpg

I also did a few repairs the front bumper just to finish of a few imprefections i wasnt happy about lol
The car will be sprayed on monday night with the front, rear bumpers being done and the roof will be getting resprayed aswell.

Sorry bout the quailty of pics again lol

More pics soon. :)

22/6/07 - More audio :D

Today i dropped my car off to Luke at Plush-Automotive and i have had this little beauty installed in my car (under the drivers seat), its a AudioControl Matrix line driver which really every car should have one becuase the pre-out voltage on every headunit that is on the market doesnt come close to 5 Volts so having a line driver like this fitted will allow you to boost and level match your system by running the gains lower then that will allow the amplifers to run cooler and more efficently therefor making the music alot more dynamic.

Once that was installed Luke had a couple of hours on the RTA and played about with the system using the ddc and now the music is seemlessly intregrating together.
I cant beleive the difference it has made the car now sounds amazing im over the moon about it :D

The line driver is probably one of the best peices of kit ive bought it will deffo be going in every car i own lol :D

Few pics Luke took:

7/6/07 - Quick update

Spent alot of time working on the quiky this weekend, first off i gave the engine a service changing the oil, oil filter and air filter and then i upgraded my front brakes to VTS brakes which i bought off a mate for £50 and i put new brake pads in.

I got the car home later in the afternoon and decieded to jack the car up and get the wheels off and give the arches a clean out and also give the wheels a good clean up, whilst i had the back wheels off i painted my rear drums black just to tidy them up a bit lol.

Few random pics i took lol

Still got a few things to do before its finished, new wheels, get the coilovers fixed then go lower, fit my mattig mirrors and get some morrettes.

Maybe through the winter i might change the colour and get some more trimming done on the interior then it will be taking the car to all the shows next year and enjoy it :)
