Speakers

I have just got myself a aftermarket headunit and now i want to upgrade the speakers in my quiksilver a bit.
What size are the door speakers?
What size are the rear card speakers?

Anyone recommend what speaker makes to go for? Or even which model?

Front door speakers are 13cm mate
Think the rears are 10cm

I would recomend going for components in the front, maybe some JBL's as their a good make and reasonably cheap.

what you mean by components mate??
They only 10cm speakers on the rear?

Might have to cut them out about, fit some 13cm speakers in there place, or even some 6x9s?

A component is a two way speaker.. so the tweeter is seperate from the actual woofer....

those are much better than the usual coxial speakers which have the tweeter attached to the woofer..

And yeah they are 10cm in the back but many people will tell you that you dont need them.. its up to you really, oh and 6x9's are also a no no as you will probs find out if you ask anyone else

Maybe just get the Components and a Sub and Amp mate then your sorted.

oh right ok then :) Thought it would of been better to get the rear card speakers bigger or at least aftermarket ones, with them being in the door cards the sound would echo better, which would make the bass better : /

I have got a sub and amp mate, just not got them in the car yet, waiting to get the speakers inall so i can do them all at once, instead of taking the CD player in and out all the time
