I have ordered some 5 inch Vibe Slick 50 speakers for the front and Vibe Slick 693's from www.caraudiodirect.com (http://www.caraudiodirect.com/). I want the Vibe AC15 EVO (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/vibe-ac15-p-5676.html?cadid=5f3f9c6bd0c0a67b8121b9cdc698b287) sub and the Slick A7 mono amp to run it but was wonderin if i need any more amps to make the sound quality that bit better for the 6x9's and also i didnt know which head unit to buy the JVC KD-AVX2 (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jvc-kdavx2-p-4907.html?cadid=5f3f9c6bd0c0a67b8121b9cdc698b287) or the Alpine CDA-9812RB (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cda9812rb-p-2193.html?cadid=5f3f9c6bd0c0a67b8121b9cdc698b287) as i want great quality LOUD music but thought the novelty of having a tv would be good too??

in my opnion the alpine unit would give u better sound quality etc. If you run a seperate amp for your 6x9s you will get the most out of them as the power from a head unit isnt the best for playing loud good quality music. i ran my 6x9s off a 400w amp and they sounded really good considering they were just £30 JBL speakers.

u can run 6x9s from a head unit but it wont be the best sound, but then again ive seen ppl with 6x9s running off headunit and it sounds good,so personal choice wether u want to spend more money on an extra amp and a power cap and also extra fuse holders for the extra amp. is it worth spendin that much more money!!!! ur choice.

id personally go for the JVC just due to the fact it is a DVD player aswel.that alpine i think is quiter an old one now ,there are far better alpines about this year.
p.s where bouts in bradford u from?

K mate cheers. So would i get away with a loweer budget 400w amp for my 6x9s?
Would the JVC be low quality sound though cos i was thinking it would look better in my car?

Keighley mate. Yes i would prefer the JVC too. Im a beginner wen it comes to ICE i dont understand these power caps and fuse holders. I wouldnt mind paying the money but for now would the 6x9's be good enough runnin off the head unit?

i didnt run a power cap when i used two amps just a fuse holder but my battery is pretty gd! a power cap just stores up power so it doesnt use all the power from the car battery.

A new battery was fitted in mine just before i bought it so i dunno wether it is a good one or not. whre do i get powe holders and will a cheaper 400 watt amp be good enough to run my 6x9's?

doesnt have to be 400w mate could get a lower powered one? aslong as its a reasonably well known brand you cant rly go wrong. Mine was an in-phase amp which was £90 but my amp powering my sub was a sony 250w which cost about £30 and its sounds great! you can get all the bits u need from ne car audio shop or website.

u only need a power cap if u notice ur lights dimming and stuff usually means ur alternator or battery cant cope with the surge in power wen the bass kicks.
they are worth havin if u have mor than one amp due to if ur having ur sytem on while just parked or sumat then it will drain ur battery twice as quick,

and ive got 6x9s in mine and they r running off a 150w amp. most 6x9s wont run nemor than 100watt RMS apart from the mor expensive better quality ones,
mine sounds fine.
