Hey all, I have a Peugoet 106 Zest 3 3 door and have decided to upgrade the audio. I was looking at Edge Street ED205 13cm (5.25") Speakers (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10454.html) and EDP12 - 12" Edge Bass Package (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10464.html) though this is only because they are the ones that I was trying to be sold in a garage.
I'm also going to need a new stereo and possibly tweeters (not sure exactly what they are or if I need them but if they fit my budget then why not). My budget is around £250 but can stretch to £300 if i'm going to see a large improvment.
So i'm looking for some advice on what to buy. I live in Jersey, Channel Islands so not sure exactly where i'd buy from over here so would be buying online most likely.
Thanks in advance and let me know if you need any more info.

I was curious about what audio to get, and I went with the Fusion EN-CM5250 [LINK] (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_50 8565_langId_-1_categoryId_165707). Very good sound, bit of a sod to fit, but great sound.
As for head unit, it all depends on what you want, I've got the JVC KD-BT11 for the bluetooth stuff. But there's so many different things offering different spec.
Another thing you have to take into account is crime in your area, the better stuff you have in your car, the more likely it's going to be stolen. But yeah! Lots to choose from.
Should you need help with the component speaker setup, I'll be able to help you (hopefully). If not, just post here, someone will be able to assist.

i can only say one company. alpine. absolutely s**t hott. i got a set of the R series door speakers and alpine head unit had a sub in there at one point and was way beter that having tacky door speakers and gay 6x9s. just the door speakers/tweaters and sub is the way.
yea thats the 1...sod 6x9's!!
try jl, excellent quality mate
Tweeters produce the higher frequency sounds that a normal speaker can't really produce. so you get crisper audio. Most component kits come with a crossover so the speakers can distinguish between the two.

ok mate, you can get a cheap but decent headunit from places like www.caraudiosecurity.com (http://www.caraudiosecurity.com) there really good for subwoofer packages aswell which will include everything you need like subwoofer, box, wiring and amp.
as for speakers i find VIBE are really good quality i started with some called SEK50 but i blew them so i went on to VIBE Slick 50's there really good quality and you can pick them up for about 35 quid now
First things first.
Are you after quality or volume? This pretty much can determine what gear you need.
If it's quality your after then your going to need to spend way more than £300 on a good setup.
If it's volume, then you can pretty much go nuts.
What type of music do you listen to? Because different set-up's are better for different types of music.
Dubstep - I find a 10" sub + front components (both amp'd) are the best bet, as they give controlled tight punchy bass with quality and volume.
Drum and Bass - I'd use a 12" sub + once again front components (again amp'd).
Anything else and well, a 10 or 12 will do the job along side front components.
I've said front components because you want your sound stage set at the front. Imagine if you went to a gig/rave/party, the music would be coming from In Front of you. Components also work their best amp'd as your providing the RMS power they were made for. This also increases the quality of your music.
But remember, before blowing your budget on a good sub and front components. You also need to think where does the music come from.
Your HeadUnit is probably the most vital part of any setup. With a good quality headunit your music is going to sound better. Along with an amp. If you have a good quality amp, then your speakers are going to pushed to their full potential whilst still allowing quality crisp music.
For example, say Car A has a good headunit, good amp, good reasonable sub, and good reasonable components and Car B has a cheap headunit, cheap amp but an expensive quality sub and expensive quality components.
Car A is going to produce higher quality, crisper music than Car B because they have spent more on quality than skimping out and just getting anything.
Okay Car B will be louder, but the quality won't be there.
Also, instead of trying to run the components and the sub off one amp. Use seperate amps, a monoblock for the sub and a 2 channel for the comps. This allows seperate signals to be run to each amp, increasing quality as the amp only has to provide power to one source if you follow me.
For a HeadUnit I'd recommend : Alpine CDE-102Ri (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10496.html)
For a Sub I'd go for either : Alpine SWR-1022D 10" 1500w (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3897.html) or : Alpine SWR-1242D 12" 1500w (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3894.html)
For components I'd go for : Hertz ESK130.3 2-way 13cm Components (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8226.html)
For an amp for the sub I'd recommend : JBL GTO-3501e MonoBlock (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8037.html) and for the components : JBL GTO-752e 2channel (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8036.html)
Way over your budget, but you honestly do get what you pay for.
