hey, from experiance fiberglass rattles and begins to flex, not sure what it will be like over MDF but alone i wouldnt advise it. MDF and leather all the way :)

diy bootbuilds are fun

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c365/chrutchy/pug%20106%20gti/d245fc4f.jpg

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c365/chrutchy/bootbuild/DSCF0380.jpg

and if you wanna do some fibreglassing to get the best shape i found making the mould in the was easiest then takin it out once it had set and build it up from there

so dude did you seal the backs of your sub enclosure with fibreglass then??
cos i was thinking bout just using the wall of the pug for it?

yeah u need to seal it all up to stop any air leaks
best way is like the pic shows is tape up a big area in the car so u dont make a mess of the interior and and make the floor the back of the box and the side up against the seat in the car. then let it set take it out and build a front out of mdf then mould the two pieces together using fibreglass. its easier than it looks and comes out a perfect fit doing it this way
prob want bout three layers of fibregalss on the box to give it a bit of strenght.

all sub's have a recomended box size. bear that in mind as building a box to small will make them sound shit !!
