Hey all
Wondering what you guys recommend for around the £150 mark?
All i need is something with a bit of kick and enough power to properly feel it.
Any recommendations?
I mean i can stretch if i want to but i don't need something over the top...
Also, i don't really want really cheap stuff i'm looking for something that will last longer than 5 minutes haha
Thanks
Nathan

Yeah i've been looking on there just dunno whats gonna be worth it... lol
Also i've got a question, if an amp states its rms in 4 ohm, is the rms in 2 ohm just 2x the 4ohm and it will be stable if it quotes its max in 2 ohm anyways?

If i stretched my budget to around 250-300 what would you guys recommend?
have a look around stuff people are selling second hand. I rate jbl equipment myself however, better quality than halfords type brands but not overpriced.

I wouldn't dare buy shit from halfords...
lol
I don't really want JBL for 2 reasons; 1 my like 3 friends unlucky cases with them and the fact a lot of people have that stuff in my area... so i'd rather be different haha
Any ideas though on the 200-300 front?

just get a vibe cbr12 active. decent bits of kit for not much money and theres everything you need for a nice installation. and can sound nice when set up properly. what HU you got to run it all? should think about upgrading your speakers aswell
buying new I'd go for http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-typer-pack-super-saver-p-7115.html?cadid=cgpoc91nf3em300ui4t9gncng4

Luca im getting the Pioneer DEH4000UB.
Any idea on the front speakers? only thing else i got in the car are some old 6x9s (Don't go ranting, my brothers old car lol) which im probs taking out, What should i replace them with and how much is a new parcel shelf if i need one?
I don't have much of a budget for the speakers 50-60 max.
Any more recommendations for sub/amp and what do you think for the speakers?
Thanks
Nathan

nowhere near powerful enough mate. if you want to power Type R subs properly your going to need at least a 1000wrms amplifier and4/2awg wiring throughout. those subs are very power hungry but sound awesome when theyre going. you be looking at £300+ to get a decent amp.

thats my amp and it still isnt powerfull enough, but your free to make me an offer on it as im willing to let it go

the lanzar should be powerful enough. just run each of the coils parallel and then both of them on the mono and hey presto youve got 1000wrms to split. similar to the amp iv got DLS Classic CAD11. providing the subs are dual voice coil and 4 ohm each.
tbh £150 for two type r subs with the box is a bit of a steal if theyre in good condition. buit as said youl need to spend good money on an amp
