Saxo bits on 106's

I will say now, I hope this doesnt cause offence, but its winding me up, lol.

Saxo bits been put on 106's, Im sad I know, but why make it look more like a saxo.

VTS rims, dash boards etc, it really winds me up.

I can slightly understand with the wheels, but iv seen light conversions and everything.

Had a bad morning, and felt like a rant, lol.

im with you on this, i hate the look of saxo's compared to 106's, especially the dashboard!!!! the rims are quite nice though

Im the same as you two, saxos look a bit girly IMO and even though they are similar i dont think cosmetic parts should be swopped apart from the wheels.

Mechanical parts like the engines, brakes etc are ok though

Yeah, I hate the boots and lights. The dash looks more modern and isn't too bad - but I prefer the simple 106 dash.

The VTS wheels are really nice - they suit the 106 better than the Saxo IMO ;) Plus they have no Citroen badge and are rarely seen on Saxo's anyway

The wheels I can understand, if you like something off a saxo,make the most of the 106 and saxo's cross compatibility. I put vtr wheels on mine because they were 40 quid with tyres. Dont like the dash or the lights though.

thank you for someonme finally saying it. anything that makes your 106 look more like a saxo is bad. u notice all saxo drivers de badge and smooth their front bumper but we keep our lions with pride!

well as the first saxo owner to post on this thread i am going to have to disagree. i think the dash in a saxo is better looking than a 106 dash. trouble with the 106 dash is it looks like it should be in a metro or something. (sorry but it had to be said) your right about vts wheels they are sexy but most chavs change them which should be a crime. the two cars both have there good points and bad points so i can see both sides of the spectrum.(if you know what i mean):D

Can I be the first to point out that your engine, springs, struts, shock absorbers, manifolds, exhaust system, gearbox, brakes, chassis, and 90% of the underlying bodywork is identical to a saxo and made in the same factory!!

most things have both the lion and the citroen sign on, well under my bonnet they are anyways lol. I think brakes and things that are just interchangable are ok, but not the dash etc, if you wanted a car to look like a saxo, you shouldda bought one. Oh, and i love the VTS wheels lol

I'm against it... Why bother putting a Saxo dash into a 106... Why not just buy a Saxo...

Lots of people smooth the 106 bonnet.

Saxo vtr engine and NOS - made 160+ bhp on the rollers, lovely car

He's got a 260bhp vauxhall VX220 turbo now (which some of you may have seen on the fuzzy webcam a while back), such an awesome car. Fastest thing ive ever been in!!

I loved it loads

The 106 bodywork IMHO is a lot nicer shape than the saxo, but that saxo rear bumper, arches and sides look lush
And even go very well with the gti front end

When it had 17's it was a show car, but then he fitted a cage - converted it to the pics above with a totally gutted interior

Was a long time before everyone else started caging and stripping too!
The cage ended up in my car, and is now I think in sybez's supercharged banana monster lol

I dont like VTR wheels on a 106, vts wheels though are very smooth and you dont see VTS's about like you do VTRs with the standard VTR alloys.

Nothing against saxos, used to really like them when i was younger, but just prefer 106s and wouldnt want to make it look like a saxo, would go and buy one if I did.
