depends where u go mate, can alternate the day depending on the area, but it was just an idea so we had a regular meet which every1 would know about well in advance and change the locations so we would all do our fair share of travelling

ok seein as we ave no regional leader ill get the ball rolling.
To start off the monthly meets southend on a saturday nite is a must i think as on a sunday its goin 2 very busy with familys at the beach and on the sat evenin there is the usual cruise.
Then the month after head up norwich area and the month afta that dwn 2 wards kent then london then bk round 2 hertford way like weekend jus gone.
Jus sum more ideas im comin up with and once we get it goin properly each month we will no which part of the south east we are heading 2 and b able 2 keep bk the money needed n try n get off work 2 attend.

Ok, been reading this thread and I think its a good idea. Obviously, like all meets, we'll have to go on numbers and see how successful the first couple are. I'm a bit concerned as the people who live furthest away from the meeting point may not come, if this happens, we may only get a few people turn up to each meet. To combat this, we'll have to be sure in advance how many people are turning up, and organise the meets at decent locations: Places that are open, there's somewhere to have something to eat and drink, and somewhere where there's good oppertunities to take some good photo's and have a good chat.

I've been to a few meets with other forums and they've been a real let down because the people that have said they'll turn up, don't bother and they don't let anyone know. If we're to do a regular meet on the last sunday of each month, we should make it a good meet and try to get as many people as possible. I understand that money is a big issue for a lot of people, but if we all help eachother out and brag lifts off eachother, we can still get a good turnout and have a good laugh, perhaps at some knob dressed up as Robin Hood in the local pub:p

Well, as the south East organiser person type bloke, its up to me to organise meets. So, to that end, can people put there names down for a meet on the last sunday of this month - the 29th. Obviously the meet will be in the South-east area, but, as of yet, I haven't decided it. For the first meet, I'll try and pick somewhere fairly central to everyone. London isn't really an option as a lot of people don't like driving into it (me included) and its just a pain in the arse and complicated! I will choose somewhere thats a nice location and has a restaurant / pub etc nearby so people can have a munch and something to drink (non-alcoholic obviously lol!)

How do you mean? Southend is ok and a good meeting point, but its a fair way for some of the south-east members to go. For the first couple of meets, the location should be more central than Southend, then, if the meet becomes more popular, the locations will vary each meet, that way it makes it fair and it won't be the same members travelling long distances each time.
