Hi

I bought a nice £80 radio/cd player today to replace the ancient radio/tape player that came with the car when I got it.
I always knew that the rear speakers didn't work and didn't think much of it. When I fitted the new player, I noticed my old one only had about 4 wires coming out of the speaker module. I know for a fact that the new one is 4x40W and the module block has 8 wires.

But, the rear speakers still don't work. Any idea how I can get them working?

When I got the car, the parcel shelf had two speaker-shaped holes in so were the rear door speakers disconnected for the previous owner to use some big speakers on the back or something?

Thanks
Jack

if the original pug loom only had 4 wires, then there might not be speakers behind them grilles! lol
check around the stereo to see if you can find any after market wiring for the speakers that were in the parcel shelf

The wires coming from the pit behind the radio has 6 wires on, the old radio only had 4. Nothing seems altered behind the stereo.

Could the rear speakers have been disconnected behind the actual things themselves and then taken off to the parcel shelf ones? I can't even see any wires for parcel shelf speakers...
