Firstly, i dont want peoples opinions about getting a DVD player or not, i want one lol and need some opinions about what to get!

Looking on ebay, there are literally hundreds, 3/4 of them coming from Hong Kong. This one for example:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SeViC-BLUE-LASER-IN-CAR-DVD-MOTORISED-7-TOUCH-SCREEN_W0QQitemZ320131880216QQihZ011QQcategoryZ677 72QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Looks as if it has all the features and is touch screen, looks alot like the Pioneer ones. Has anyone got one of this sort of quality ? They look asif they are good, but do you think they will have a crappy plasticy build quality?

On the other, expensive, hand, whats the best to go for. I have an Alpine HU now and i love it, and i would love an Alpine DVD player, but they are uber expensive.

Just want peoples opinions really and if any of you have a DVD player etc etc. (or you have one for sale lol)

Cheers

Personally I would not go for an unbranded one from Hong Kong. What happens if it goes wrong?etc etc Also the build quality could be pretty poor! And you may as well have bought a ripspeed one (well maybe not that bad)

My mum has a pioneer one, with SAT NAV and it is brilliant! Can't fault it really! Especially as she should be selling it to me sooooon :D

I was thinking along the same lines of you a few months back... but i'd avoid the dirt cheap units like the plague!! I have personally bought a Ripspeed DV725, it is touch screen, i-pod ready etc, I got loads of discount off for working for halfords but I can't fault it. And it's actually made by Pioneer!

The main reason I didn't get a uber expansive unit was incase it got stolen... then i'd literally be gutted to have lost something so good!

My cars got an alarm now, and most of the expensive ones have a part removable fascia, so thats a bonus i guess.

Fancy getting me one with your discount lol
