Well inoticed it the last week. Before i fitted the 60mm springs.

Anyway when i pull away at normal speed, just as if you were pulling off the driveway, i get this scraping sound that last for a mere socond or 2 then goes when i am at afew mph or so.
It sounds like a peice of metalbeing dragged across the floor.
Ive checked the wheels etc and nufing is in contact that i can see.
I
t doesn't happen in reverse.
The sound is coming from the front of the car...Im almost certain its the drivers side.

Any suggestions?

Is the backing plate touching the disc at all. Mine makes all sorts of noises and ive learned to live with them but it can be annoying when it is metal. When you spin the wheel does it make any sound, are the brake pads low as they could be touching the pad backing.

Does it happen when the wheels are on full lock or straight?
Mine makes a similar noise when the clutch is stone cold, just put it down to it being cold and needing a lil while to warm up.

Its definately a contact noise/loose noise.

The scraping sound was caused by this little bugger...

It was making contacton the brake disc when i pulled away, making a annoying scraping noise.

A cable tie soon sorted it out.

Theres a notch in those balljoint covers that locate up into the split on the strut side, if thats not properly lined up, the notch makes it stick out like that onto the disc.

Have a nose and youll see what im on about.
The notch is facing towards the engine.

They do get bent to hell from balljoint removals as well.
