Been gone for a while now.
I suspect its the p.a.s pump thats failed?
Wondered how much i should expect for used one - Seen 1 going on ebay for �£60...?

check ya pipes, fluid and wiring to the pump. check for a live feed to the pump. if all are ok looks like your pump

you need a multimeter mate, set her up to 12v, and put the black prong to earth on the batt and then put the red prong on the live wire thats on your pump, should read around 12volts.

also should add check your fuses lol

MOT runs out in 2 days so i need to book the car in. Is the power steering pump not working gonan be a fail>

If so, how much am i looking at to have it replaced?
�£250?

Ok the job has a 1 star in the Haynes manual so this job can be done at home ;D

It isnt the fuse. Just check that. No signof a leak.

Il check the live feed at the weekend.

Will a Gtipump be ok to use? i didnt think it would be a problem?

should do mate , had to replace the power steering pump on my bros saxo vtr and it was exactly same one as mine so im guessing its same one throught the 106/saxo range

the pumps are exactly the same you will notice one of the pipes is different but just change it around. easy enough job.

I just fitted a quiky pump to my gti

try local breakers dude , just ask for saxo/106 pas pump i got one for 40 quid

Im Pm'ing a guy on here now. And ive asked about 6 people on ebay.
Il try at the weekend theres a good breakers nearme, and my local scrappy too.

yeah she will fail with no power steering :-[

theres a little connecter block if i remember rightly, on the loom just before the pump should be able to get a reading off there..

sounds like the pump tho fella :-\
