Getting rid of broken glass?

Any tips for getting broken glass out of the inside of the doors?
I was installing my central locking and found that my window had previously been broken, and that all the glass was in the bottom of the door.
It makes an annoying rattle now that I have disturbed it, so I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and come up with a clever solution.
I tried wearing gloves and trying to scoop it out, but I just end up fumbling it.

I considered a hoover of some sort, but I thought I might not be able to get it down behind the panel, and I didnt want to buy one on off chance. Have you tried it?
