Here we have for sale our rover 214i 16valve.
This is a five door, manual, petrol hatchback and is ideal for anyone who has a little knowledge on mechanics.
It has done 129,250 miles but before it broke down it drove like it had done 40,000. Most of the millage was motorway miles created by the previous owner.
here are the positives and neggative:
positive:
tax till 30/06/09
mot till 07/04/09
new gearbox and clutch, engine flush,cam belt and service @124,697 miles which was done april/march time the gearbox came with a 12month warranty and this is included with the car, we spent in excess of £1000 have all this work done.
The car has never let us down, and still pulls like a train.
stainless steel back box which is fairly new plus a new midsection of the exhaust was put on about a yr ago. the exhaust is not too loud.
Negatives:
Water pump needed
Radiator needed
slight bit of bubling on each arch at the front. nothing major.
if you are going to drive the car away it is at your own risk. i would not recomend driving it more that 15minutes in the state its in as the waterpump is leaking a bit of water and the car can overheat.
Inspections are welcome
The water pump and radiator is avilable from ebay for around £68 quid.
This has to be one of the most reliable rovers around and its a shame to get rid of this however we would like a newer bigger car.
