How to paint air vents??

How do i go about painting these?im worried that it will look cheap if i go wrong!can anyone give me abit of guidence please??

Hey Gaz im in the process of painting my air vent surround!

I rubbed them down to make them dull so the primer would stick then primed them sanded them down primed them sanded them down primed them sanded them down (not taking the primer off each time i sanded by the way) and then hit them with the colour and laquer. I hairdryed them to speed it all up :)

To do the vent just dismatle it and do the same as above!!
