Ok well this set up wont be for me but a mate.
He has a budget of £150 max.

He currently has a 4 channel 800W amp running his Punch sub with unknown power unfortunately.

Anyway, he wants to run a set of 6x9's off another seperate amp.

So 1 amp for the sub, and 1 amp for the new 6x9's.

I suggested just running the new 6x9's off the 4 channel amp. 400wotts split betweent the 2 would be plenty right?

Anyway i said id ask on here as you other guys no more on the ICE side of things... Dargs,Jonnhy,Plush guy.

Cheers.

I would spend the £150 on a set of front comps then run them off the 4 channel amp will sound much better than running a set of 6x9s??!

I would suggest you avoid any equipment that halfauds sell, so much better stuff on the market these days.
I would look into the Hertz range of equiment making a good name now ive heard couple of cars running Hertz and im very impressed with th equality and prices. :)

soz dude i dont think i ever got ur name lol.

Darg's- i showed him the group buy part

Luke- HEs got £150 for an amp, and speakers. Although he already has a perfectly good 4 channel 800W amp. Powering his sub that he doesn't know the power of.

Surely if hes already got the 4 channel and the sub, run the sub over 2 channels and the components on the other two. Spend 150 on the Comps or spend less and save money!

Well from what luke said the other day, when they tested them for 1 of the mags they ran them off the headunit and they sounded the nuts so the amp doesnt even need to be that powerfull really ;D

ok cool well if hes running a 4 channel like some 1 mentioned above spend the budget on fronts maybe in the group buy with a skinz speaker enhancement package and it'll seriously rock

dont know if this has been covered but the best advice is whats above scrap the idea of 6x9s straight away!

My set up in mine i have Phoenix Gold Comps in the front, A set Of Them In the rear too both running off a 4 Channel PG amp..

ive also got a Phoenix Gold 1100w Mono Amp Running My JL audio Sub..

The problem with 6x9s IMO is that they try to compete with subs for bass so to speak and they always sound a bit flappy!

I had a set in my 1st 106 and since changing to the comps front and rear the improvement in sound quality etc is so much better!
