wiring sub and amp

can anyone give me any pointers/hints/tips/walkthroughs of wiring a subwoofer and amplifier into my boot? anything aprreciated!!!

really easy to do

find the grommet under ur glove box, stick the power cable thru but DONT attach to battery till the end!

attach the aux and remote wire 2 the headunit, run these down the back

then run all the wires under the carpet on left/ right, under the back seats and into the boot

then attach the earth to the seatbelt mount/ or theres a bolt at the front of the boot

then attach the + and - from the sub to the amp

then connect all wires to the amp, make sure everything is plugged in correctly and is earthed

then attach the power cable to the positive battery terminal

couple of pointers:

dont connect the power wire untill everything is wired up

and dont run rca's / speaker wire down the same side of car as the power wire

Hello , I tried to do this job today but so far I cant locate grommet at glovebox. I have a P reg 106 gti .. Where is the grommet ?

its up behind the glove box, to the right abit, u will feel a bunch of wires going through it...its the same on every 106.,,..

its nearly in the middle, n up a bit, if ya kno wat i mean, i ended up lying upsidedown with me head in the footwell....then i realised it would be a good idea to take me glovebox off to reach it better

its easy enough to get at but it is a B*tch to get the power cable through. it took me and ma mate a while to get it thru on mine :(
