Right.. I just bought a W reg 106 gti. Whenever i set the factory fitted alarm using the key fob, the alarm goes off in approx 20 minutes.
Do any of you know why?? or what the cheapest way to find out why would be..
Thank you for reading even if your not sure why theres a fault.

a common problem with the pug alarm is the internal sensors.
turn them off with the button on the steering column and see if it still goes off.

Right i Picked up my car this morning and i found the alarm button on the steering columb.. when i keep it pushed in with the ignition turned on it either goes solid red or blank on the imobiliser light/alarm light...
do any of you know if it has to be solid for the alarm to be off or blank coz if i lock it with the button when its blank the alarm goes off...????
