Spare wheel cage

so finally realised the little wheel brace tucked in the corner of the boot undone the massive flat head anyways took the spare off and now want to remove the cage all together cant get undo the care atm but looks like the main cage hinge is welded in is it just possbile to bend the cage to unhinge it or can the actually hinges be unbolted ?

mine had bits bolted to the welded on hangers. undo bolts down the side of the hangers and they should pop out leaving the hangers there without having to bend anything

or just jack it up a lot. i did mine over a pit at work.

try digging a pit :D
