Okay so i bought the car january 2006 she was absolutely immaculate (apart from odd car park dint and a faulty heater) and completely standard. Paid £2800 X (2000) with 36k

First day http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e341/nickdirtyd/SP_A0206.jpg

First mod was the alarm, went for a toad over clifford as id read and heard a lot of bad things about the cliffords in my price range. I went for the Toad ai606 which was £220 fully fitted.

After that i stoopidly decided to tackle the heater problem myself to save money (was quoted £250 to replace the heater blower motor) can now see why! I paid £28 for the blower motor and spent a good 3 hours fitting it. It was such a swine! Dash really needed to come out but i mis-read the haynes ::) :o Managed it in the end with a few cut knuckles!

Next i replaced the rubber, quite simply the Pirellis were shit! I had dunlop sp200 fitted all round for £200 and was amazed at the difference, breaking in the wet was improved id say about 80% they really are unreal with a bit of water on the road, id go as far as to say they perform as well as in dry!

Didnt do much else other than mats n bulbs here n there. The mats are e-tech tailored ones and really go well with the quiky interior! as for the bulbs i had to get rid of the indicator orangeness! the silvertec bulbs are a subtle but very effective mod!

Next up was the exhaust, had a cat back powerflow twin 3" round fitted for £250 which i was well impressed with considering my cat is in manifold which meant i needed 3 mtrs of s/s piping.

After that 1 day i decided (while stood in front of the rubber grommets at halfrauds) to de wiper the rear.

2days later i replaced the rubber grommet with the genuine pug part!

Then i upgraded to gti brakes. Bought a nicely refurbed set that fuzzy found on ebay.
Painted em up

Paid £55 for the calipers with some pads which were nr new, calipers were mint, all new seals etc.
£20 for paint then £55 for the mintex discs n pads. £50 for fitting
Must say the difference is unreal for such little money.

More recently i fitted a raceland induction kit. That cost £59 off ebay then bought some silicone hose and a stainless steel breather for £35
Will eventually paint the enclosure black.

Cheers people, jonny am i right in thinking youve got fk coilovers? If so which model and what did you pay?

Thanks for the comments, definately does need to hit the floor! Only ting wrong with the quiky when it came off the production line!

As for brakes, it really is a no brainer they make such a good improvement ive not had brake fade since and they look the nuts too!

Cheers again people, theres a few niggles i want sorting too and id like to make sure shes running perfect n on top of that still mod her, but in a perfect world id have a money tree in the back garden ::) (until then theres job hunting)

Plates really set it off imo, i hate our regular british poop and at £35 well worth it.
