I've got a Kenwood cassete player (krc-778r) with a kenwood 10x cd changer... The player has a reversible faceplate but after a few years of usage the mechanism is starting to play up... I'm thinking of putting in a new one, most probably another kenwood (had a kenwood on my previous car) because they've never given me any problems... My only question is if my cd changer will be compatible with any new cd player I might buy...
Advice needed...

Cheers!

Dave

The CD changer is going to be only compatible with another Kenwood headunit mate. Although i'd check the new unit has the Multi-changer plug on the back.... because alot dont feature them anymore since the increased usage of MP3 and ipods etc.

Hope that helps :)

Depends if the new CD player is compatable with a multichanger, pretty much has to be another kenwood to work with a kenwood changer. TBH you will probably best off going for an Alpine or Pioneer with i-pod capabilities, if you have an i-pod, loads better.
Just got this in at work, its THE daddy of all headunits lol. Only plays MP3's but it's woth it, one lad at work has already bought one, and another has reserved one and i quite fancy it if i don't get a screen http://www.alpine-europe.com/typo3/index.php?id=digital_media_receiv&L=16

Brucey bargain at £300! Colour screen, shows i-pod album artwork track titles etc. simple controls and awesome sound quality. Love it!
