HI folks.
My speedo and mileage gauge aren't working at the moment. Obviously I need to get them fixed.
My MOT is due soon. Does anyone know if a broken speedo would affect the MOT result?
Many thanks.
i would think so mate ! lol

IIRC it will still pass with the speedo not working.

not sure if its an essential feature, might be shown up when they do the emissions test?
Its not an mot test procedure iirc.

its not covered under an MOT, even if they were to find out they were broken. Possibly give you an advisory for it, in case you didnt know already they were broken lol

Obviously its not a fuse problem right?
Because mine did the same, but the fuse for the speedo is used for the power steering too from what i can remember...
You should be fine, just be carefull with speed cameras, let me know what model your car is and i may be able to get you a new speedo pod cluster, i have a few spare but with over 90k on them.
