Hello!

I'm just about to buy a new Peugot and I've just taken all the stuff out of my old 106! I'm trying to reinstall the old stero (Clarion PU-9536A), but when I installed my JVC to replace it - for some stupid reason, I chopped off the ISO connector. See image!

So there's

Black
Blue
Blue/White stripe
Yellow
Grey
White
White/Red stripe
Red

White/Black stripe
White/Green stripe

Grey/Black stripeWhere in my new empty ISO connector do they all go? :( Please help!!!
Thanks
Jon

You got a haynes manual? It shows you in there i think

Yeah it's in Haynes page 12.46 top right diagram;)
Bit confusing though.

Thanks guys - but that diagram only works for the ISO cable that's inside the car! The cables hanging off the stero itself don't have any codes or numbers on them and they don't match the colours inside the car :( I do have the Haynes manual, but I guess it's not actually referring to the specific HU i have. Any other ideas? Perhaps someone who's replaced their HU original with something new has the old one kicking about?? Sorry to be a pain

He needs to know where the wires go that come outta the back of the stereo go into the wiring block, as he chopped the block of and doesn't know where the wires go.
I think he would really appreciate a pic:)
Thanks if you get one cos you'd of saved me a 20 mile drive to my mates, not that i would mind.

1eah that would be amazing!! If you could photograph the wire at the end of the stereo (quite closely) so I can rewire it up to a new block (see my photo)! Does that make sense?

Oh 'n Pugjim, thanks v.much mate, you've been really helpful :)

Ooooh nooooo!!! On the end of the stereo is a plug that plugs directly into the Peugeot (probably not an actual ISO connector). I just need to see the plug that's on the end of the Peugeot HU. If you check out my photos on page 1 u can see i've chopped it off :( Does that make sense?

Here they are, bit stupid of me not to take them the first time.

I did it from a couple of angles so you can hopefully see where they all go.

I have a quick question for you, i have the same original peugeot stereo, but no code for it
any ideas? are they individual to the stereo?
i have bought a new stereo off of ebay but till it comes i am musicless!!!!!!!!!!!

jonboyuk

I'm afraid the codes are original to the stereo. Back in the days when people might have stolen a cassette player, it was to prevent theft. These days no biscuit's going to bother stealing a cassette HU...however I can't help you with the code. Really sorry. PS. Is your HU like mine or like Teekae's?

Funnily enough, I've got the opposite problem, I have the radio ISO conector, but I no longer have the car one, so could someone put a pic up of which wires from the car go to which wires from the radio, or just tell me. I do have a Haynes Manual, and if anyone could point me in the right direction of the page and place it would be a great help, cheers

I know what the outermost wires are, the speakers, but can someone tell me what the other wires in the centre are, like colour and then what it is, like Permanent power, the lead that actaully powers the stereo, illumination and negative, thanks

Ok, finally made sense of the Haynes Manual for that, but theres one pin thats left that I still don't know what it connects to, the very centre one, any ideas? cheers

this dont help much, well you've done it now lmao.
I made this from my old connection, ive ripped it all out and rewired the whole thing, i bought an adapter for it but then destoryed that cause it was cheep and worked from the wires on there and where to put things... it works... ;)

Could be worth emailing your peugeot dealer and telling them - I did and I gave them my name and number plate and they gave me the code for it FREE (this was 2 years ago before I had my cd stuff put in - although im sure they still do it free)
