GTi Engine rebuilds

Just interested to know if anyone has any idea on prices for GTi engine re-builds? And also any companies that do it?

EDIT: Or is it cheaper to just a buy a new lower mileage lump?

Get yourself a haynes manual and get stuck in I say.

Im half way through doing my first engine rebuild, its pretty easy to be honest, and Ive always got the haynes or the 1000's of members on here for help if I get stuck.

yeah jump in yaself mate, i havent done a rebuild on a 106, only classic mini & vaxhaull redtop.

the engines are really easy to work on. Like above have a haynes and you would be fine.

I did wander about doing it myself but didnt know if it would be too complex., but if its a haynes manual job then thats good.
