Hello, since i have been working through my 'To do' list, i thought i should start a progress blog for the old girl!
I have been working on the body, to get that the way i like it. I have been smoothing it out by detriming and delocking the sides of the car, and have removed the front badge. I also have my heart set on having an orange car so i have started spraying in car Rover Vermillion.......and it's flippy bright!
I have only sprayed the bonnet atm so that i can see what the finish is like, don't want to ruin her!
Here what i have done so far....

Oi! None of that!
I got the strongest glue i could find (so the bastards can't break into my car) and glued a piece of metal where the lock was. Then i just used body filler in the 'dip' and sanded it down smooth! Ohhhh Yerrrrrrr

Yer, i also just stuffed bady filler in the whole, but i stopped to think for a min and decided that it would stupid not to do anything about the security side. I know it's not welded there, but it's better than nothing.......and the glue is bloody strong!

Needs another coat to proparly finish it off but i am really really impressed. There are a few defects in the paint like chips ect... but nothing i can't like with. I will proberly go over them in the future! So just need lots more paint now.......wish i had some money :(

Update 7th June
I've given up on the orange! It's costs to much money, and i don't think i would ever sell the car!
The stlye for the car is ment to be subtle, and i hav lost my way, so it's going back to red.

not that it wouldn't have been, emm, interesting to see it orange...i think you've made the right choice keeping the red.

That's an impressive finish seeing how you did it in your road mate. But some parts of the car would of been trickier to do.
Black hood with black rims maybe if you want different?!

thank **** you dident spray it yourself with rattel cans in the end!
the door locks need to be welded ideally as the filler will just sink within a few months
