Hey guys, i just fitted a VTR Inlet and was wondering if i'd get even more performance if i were to get the ECU remapped on my quiky?!
Also how much does anyone know i could be looking at for this?!

Nah don't get a remap, get it cammed then remap it ;)

For price you would pay, you should just get a de-cat, if you haven't already. Then i would say 1.6 engine, as that would make a greater difference for your money, if that makes any sense!

a remap will have an effect but it will be very limited. a remap is the last thing you should do. so de-cat exhaust system, performance manifold, induction kit, and a cam then you remap it. i think you could get up around 85bhp maybe. so that 10bhp and a lot more responsive with a real good sound.
cams would be good, but i'd get a cam with 282-285 degree duration. and get it remapped.
to be honest by spending all that cash on makin the 1.4 quicker could you just not use that against getting a Gti or something similar.

for the mony youspend getting a quicky engine to the 100 bhp mark youmite aswel just do a vtr conversion or a 1.4 xsi

hmm but its still fun tuning your own engine! i wanted to tune mine but ended up finding a 1.6 for £130, couldnt resist lol
