is it just my engine or does it happen to other 1.1's

when i pull off its like the car loses power, for example: say you were throwing a ball and as you through it it came back to you then went away again. it lags. anybody know a cause of it?

probably needs a service, mines hesitating and stuff at the moment then goes away. Probably down to the fuel filter on mine

could also be sensor related mate, i hade this problem when my water temp sensor was reading incorrect

I had the same problem. I changed the fuel filter and the car was like never b4.
It's worth checking, although it could be somethin else, but that would be my first idea.

service it mate then u have a good base to start form if anything is wrong. u will get rid of all the variables such as plugs, filters and what not!

well my dads done most things on it, new plug etc. took the throttlebody off and cleaned it up and that made a little difference. but my dad did say it might need a fuel filter but he still hasnt fetched me one :( and he tells me not to get one myself cus he gets trade discount cus of him being a mechanic. so hes done pretty much everything on it, got new oil and stuff, well my engine burns oil so im always puttin new oil in.

well its most likely it hasnt been changed, the car was in a right state when i bought it, looked like it had never had a service and wasnt looked after. ive had a lot of thing literally dropping off :(
i got them fixed tho and its all looking good. but i noticed the other week that it has been crashed and repaired on the passenger front :(
