My car really didnt feel right, on the corners I was struggling a LOT

It was killing my arms trying to keep it going round the corner, the tyres werent squeeling and it wasnt losing grip but every bend I was really struggling to get the car around it

On the road its mint, its such a good car, but on track it was a LOT of hard work
Mikey said he had to slow down for me a lot on bends :(
Would love the opinion of someone more experienced as to what might be causing it, or if im just totally getting the line wrong on the corners

Maybe we could do a cadwell session one day?

if your fighting the car out of a corner your eother trying to go too fast or your trying to hit a point out of the corner that the car wont goto cos of gravity lol

On your first vid - about 4 minutes in when you catch me up after the main straight

Its fairly obvious I got all the lines wrong, but the first hair pin coming off the oval, you go around it quite close to the inside - whereas you see I went all the way out to the outside

I couldnt physically get the car to hug the corner anymore - it was pulling itself out of the bend all the way over to the far side rumble strips

How the hell did your car keep the inside line so much. Is mine just shit at cornering or something? LOL

I found it really difficult, driving on roads is easy as there is only one line to take, track is a lot of hard work :(

perhaps your just going a bit to quick into the corners, fwd slow in fast out.

if you want to practice lines the cheapest way is go karting a thats where i learned.
if you want phil i can give you the number of my mate who is a bentley/porche test driver ad he said he can give anyone i know some 1 on 1 driver traninig for a good price.

I think a strut brace would make a big difference Phil. Ive got a lower one on, and it really did stick when you got the line right through a corner.

The line makes a huge difference though. You can really tell when you get the wrong line into a corner. Towards the end i could tell when i was getting the right lines and then when i got a corner abit wrong. I didnt have as much entry speed to scrub off as you so i suppose its abit different

ok phil, lower strut brace will give you better turn in and stiffen the front up so might be worth trying one for the money they cost.

You have an xsi with a valver conversion, on gmax suspension with 15 year old beam bushes, and a standard arb

I have a gti, with billsteins (£300+ worth), brand new polyrace bushes all round with brand new wishbones, and a 24mm pug sport ARB, with toyo t1-proxes

And you can corner twice as well as I can - my car was drifting out on bends where on your vid you just hugged the inside line??

was talking to him before going on track and damo and it wasnt in the best of states apparently it had a few probs but he wanted to take it out
some problems with the rear beam too
