My 17 son passed his test two weeks ago and wanted a Peugot 106. So he bought the first one he saw . Now he tells me (three days into owning it ) that the central locking go's on then off , on , off for quite a time.
Can anyone help? even if its how to de activate the central locking system ..

usually cent locking, not working, first, check each locking actuator induvidualy by unpluging it,then try locking car with fob, easy in 3 dr harder in 5 dr.try boot 1st then pass doors, drivers door last you will have to take door card off for this one,the others u can unplug the door connector.unplugging the drivers door will disable the system.cant think of fuse ho at min.

If i remember correctly the central locking relay is a brown-ish box just behind the glove box? i may be wrong though

if its locking and unlocking on its own accord then sounds like the control box fault (relay as this thread has called it). Its a grey rectagonal box screwed behind the fuse box, best gettin a new one from a scrappy, only a few quid. Ive fitted two systems to two 106s so like to think i have some idea :) Hope this helps.

yep gray box behind fuse box, bugger to get at,unless u take the glove box out, unpluging, this also disables c/l,if its locking then poping straight back up,it could be an actuator on the way out, like i said or,the "brain"/grey box, another thing to check,is the wires through the doors, they can split inside the insulation(difficult job to test unless its visibly rubbing etc)..last resort! povall have some gti front shocks"standard pug ones",free if you collect?
