Welcome to the forum. :)

Shame to hear you own a corsa, I couldnt think of anything worse to be honest.

When buying them, dont be too fussy about little prangs on the doors, ALL quiksilvers have these, as they have no bump strips and all get slight knocks, a quiksilver without them would be very rare. Check the engine bay, see if theres any mods, induction kit etc. The more mods on the car the more chance its been owned by a boy racer, look out for a standard one with lowish mileage.

Hope that helped?

Hey! Welcome to the forum :)

I think you should get yourself a decent Quiky for that money and your insurance shouldn't be too bad as soon as you've got 1 years NCB. As Dan said look for a standard one that hasn't been raced around ;)

Welcome to the forum! As everyone will say just get the most standardish one you can find with the best mileage. Good luck!

Main things are,

gearboxs - hear any wine's clunks or if its hard to get into gear its prob going to need a new box, make sure you get a good deal if you get it!

head gaskets - love to leak from the main oil pathway common fault really, if theres oil leaking its prob on its way out...

check the rear beam even more so if its been lowerd bearings can wear and rear beams arnt the cheapest part to replace.

most other things arnt too bad to replace, pads, discs, ball joints, track rod ends and all the jazz even good 2nd hand shocks dont cost much.

oo yeah and the sunroof will prob leak haha

Welcome to the club. Im sure there are plenty of quicksilvers about for that kind of money so the choice should be good, apart from the color as you will have to have it in silver. There will be a few for sale on here as more members sign up.

hey hun, welcome! I have a quiky i got insured fully comp at 17 on it for £855 with admiral, unfortunately had a little accident and when i re-new it will go up, so i'm switching to diamond for a hundred quid more. Diamond should be able to do you a good deal in the first place, us girls get looked after!

Anyway.... good luck with the Quiky hunting....... (i used to have a corsa too..... my Quiky is soooo much better! You'll love it!)
