i have been quoted around £90 for a new manifold so im thinking it would be better to go for a 4-2-1 stainless raceland manifold but im wondering does it have the fittings for lambada sensor etc and will they even fit a 1.1 SPI .im not expecting any gains but i think it would be worth paying the extra £ to get a s/steel manifold.any help is appreciated .thanks dan

the SS raceland has a lambda sensor fitting as have supersprint and piper
if your cat in the manifold? If so read the additional parts you'll need in order to fit if you plump for the raceland
definately worth junking the o/e manifold

ok thanks no the cat is not in the manifold. but with the raceland will it defintately fit a 1.1 spi and ive hear you have to cut something to fit the manifold in?.or am i talking rubbish

my car has 1 and the manifold i have also has 1 lambada. but it looks like im going to have to extend the wire for the sensor as its where the manifold meets the exhaust.

We had to cut 2 of the studs down, cause they catch on the bottom of 2 of the branches. Other than that, s'all good.
And dont think you'll have to extend the wire for the Lamda, we didnt, just route it down the back of the g'box, instead of across infront of it. :)

you dont have to extend it it just reaches
and do quickys have 2 lambda sensors ?

and do quickys have 2 lambda sensors ?
Yes, some do. I think if they're 2001+ (might be 2000+, not 100% sure). Easy to spot though. You'll have one stuck in the very top of the cruddy OE manifold and if you stick your head under the bumper and look up at the downpipe, you'll see another one.
In this case you need to buy a lambda sleeve to go over the second sensor (after the cat) and put the first sensor (before the cat) in to your 4-2-1 or 4-1 manifold.
