ok my car at the momment is having alot of work done to the engine etc etc and i woz looking for a new clutch, went to my local motor factor and got a price for the standard replacement clutch then had a look on ebay and i can get a fast road clutch cheaper, wats the crack like? will the standard last longer????

IIRC, fast road will be very snappy. Either on or off.
OE clutch (Valeo) is fine. Fred always quotes what kind of BHP they can take and I can't remember the figure now. So unless you're having some major boost work done my personal preference would be stick with an OE clutch like Valeo or Luk (Luk apparently make some of the Valeo clutches, so I've been told?).

Yes mate, it's about 180bhp for an 'OE' clutch. I've got a Luk clutch.

Fast road clutch's are not that grabby. The ones that are are the paddle cluches. 3 puck ones are the worst for being on/off. If its a non paddle clutch, it'll be fine. Just beware of Techni clutch (bad spellin!) I had an organic fast road one from them and my impreza shredded it after 6 months!
