Alarm/Indicator staying on problem

Gf's 106 has a fault I think with the alarm relay. When the car is locked up via the fob and the alarm is armed, the indicators front and back (o/s) light, which drains the battery over time.

I've read that I need to either replace the alarm relay or simply cut the wires from the alarm box to the indicators.

If this is right where is the alarm situated?

my old gti did this now and again and would randomly put all the left or right indicators on solid when driving. i changed the alarm box under the dash and it fixed it

where do I find alarm the box mate, above the glovebox, footwell?

its behind the centre console above the footwell heater vents. if you stick your head under the dash in the passenger footwell you should be able to spot it
