Hi. I need some help.

What is the highest compression ratio anyone has run an 1400xsi at???

Am currently upgrading to forged pistons plus CATCAM and have a rallye head with a 1mm skim. Valve clearance is ok however but I am seriously worried about the theoretical 13.8:1 compression ratio.

Also on the subject, would the pulsing effect setup through the a 280deg cam plus high comp be unsustainable for the rallye inlet plenum volume?

Thanks
Steve

need to have it remapped for that kind of compression, are you using a normal HG or a repair one since your skiming it a bit? need to run a repair HG ideally, maybe a good idea to look into seeing if any MLS ones available for the 1360 iron block.

Look for an user called Sandy and chuck him a pm or axsaxoman

Going to run it on a DTA system E48. Have a MLS gasket but could probably use an oversized to drop back the compression to 13.2:1 but keen to try the high comp if practical.

if the mapping is spot on steve it wont be a problem, but personally not seen anyone or know of anyone run c/r that high before. Like I said best pm Sandy or axsaxoman for a straight no b/s answer to this
