LOL

Mate look on http://gmcmotorsport.com
Supercharger kits are about 1500 quid.
40 bhp more you say?
More like 80% more power..

However its not that simple.. You need to uprate the bottom end slightly so it can stand the supercharger. Youll need some low comp pistons new conrods and a headgasket minimum. Depends what you want?

Those engine mods plus a supercharger and management obviously running on 7psi you would be lookin at 190-200 at the wheels.

Hope this helps
Chris

you dont need new conrods, dont know where your getting that from.

You can run double head gaskets without even touching the bottom end and run 170 at wheels all day long. just means after time you might think about uprating the bottom end as once you get the feeling for boost you will want more.

goto gmc website will give you prices etc but dont expect much change from £4k

The bottom end wont last long on standard internals you at least want low comp pistons. and for piece of mind and whilst the engine is out id do the conrods, peugeot ones at that, you only need forged conrods if your planning on revvin the car high a lot. if you leave them and they go you've got to undo all that hard work and start again, You dont know what damaged could be caused to other internals.

Like i say thats my opinion

as rich said rods are not needed, and they are a few people running 2 head gaskets and have been for a while with no problems, also with boost no need to rev high.....
