Im just being noisy here really since i had to leave so early:(
Here is the rallyes results
Power-118 BHP
Torque-107 lbf-ft
I was a lil disappointed at the start, but its actually not that bad for a engine that just ticked over 120k yesterday. Maybe another good service will do wonders and then i will get it done again when its down getting bodywork done

I was happy with my result's,
Power - 122.5bhp
Torque - 107ft-lb
Only mod the car has is a back box which shouldn't really effect performance that much.

I was surprise at my results!
Power - 133 bhp
Torque - 116 ft-lb
That was on a standard 16v engine, or so i think. Thinking some engine work may have been done at some point as its 13bhp over standard!
The car does pull very well and the engine does seem very strong, so im happy with the results, especially when i was hoping for standard power! lol
Not bad at all.

I was extremely surprised with my results:
Power - 142.5 BHP
Torque - 120 ft-lb
Not bad for a puggy motorsport exhuast with m/sports cat & and ecosse induction kit
Was well chuffed :D

I wish mine had made it too, it got 133.5 bhp and 118 torque last time, and that was with a the pipercross filter in the ecosse kit and standard 1.5d exhaust so should be alot more healthy next time around.
a few good results there. Wish I had been able to go, oh well there's always next time and knockhill on 9th to see how mine goes

Mine got 128.5 BHP and 117Ftlb.
Torque figure was ok, had a couple of flat spots that i think need to be looked at but i was really disapointed with the BHP figure if I'm honest lol.
Pugsport, 4-2-1 and raceland induction with pipercross filter. I would of been happy with anything over 130 and i thought i would get past that mark quite easily. Obviously not...
Owell nevermind, knockhill next monday to look forward to :D
thought u might have got a bit more. Looks like there is going to be a good few motors around the same bhp at kh next Monday so looks like it ill be a good wee group

Yea i was expected a bit more aswell if im honest. The guy doing the RR said he expected a bit more from it aswell. Said i should maybe get my valve timing checked.
Awell nevermind, BHP figure is for bragging rights huh, what matters is how you use it lol.
BTW I am not bitter or anything LOL :p
like u say its how u use it, especially round knockhill. By the looks of it there is going to be around 5 106's

Yea i think our wee 106's are really suited to knockhill as its quite a twisty wee track huh. Im pretty damn nervous if im honest lol. Cant wait none the less.
I'm assuming your going Gez?

My Gti had 132bhp with 118lb.ft and I had the same mods as you. I was gutted I never got above 140bhp but the car was still great to drive, and as you can see in my youTube profile, it handled a lot better than alot of cars.

It was ross. If it had been Deek he woulda chased.

Lol tbh after seeing you pull away from the junction at Mcd's i wouldn't have bothered lol. Your rear end just dug into the road and your front end took off lol. Would have loved to get a picture of that :D

I did chase as we left but the sheer power of your beast over powered me,
My mate was shitting himself, Said he kept felling the car sliding on the twisty's,
again a little bit more Tyre Schreeching!

There was no danger i was eveing attempting to keep up with Gord, and after his "booting it" through the twisty bits before Linlithgow that definatly confirmed there was no point in even trying, lol
easty give the car a full service, oil coolant etc, 4 nw sprak plugs, clean the throttle body, the engine may not be runnign effectively you see.
My spark plug was loose, tightened it up the other day (4 new ones needed asap) however the car goes like a bludey train now, its made so much difference, something so small.
Easty-5
02-06-2008, 11:28 AM
Yea Joe i think that is a good idea my friend!
Do spark plugs come pre-gapped now?
the seal has gone on one of mine, so tightens, and then carnt get another turn, so that ring things compresses.
Give the engine a full service, go back, and Id put money on it that it runs better.

jamie, i had to adjust mines slightly when the came out the box, but they werent that bad. When i did mines it did make a diference like.
Before the rolling road i had changed my radiator, coolant, spark plugs, cleaned and treated my filter and claned my stepper motor and throttle body a bit, so as seph said it could be worth a good service

Ok, what plugs did you go for? What is the gap distance ment to be?
going to halfords at lunch. Get some carb cleaner for the throttle body, get an oil filter and oil for an oil change and get some new plugs and some engine coolant :)
Anyone know which Oil filter i need??

NRK( or sumthing) are meant to be the best well RR recomends them, iv got some fancy bosch ones and they seem to be fine

I went for NGK plugs, if you are at halfords they are pack number 427 or part number BKR6EZ
i always go to peugeot for my filter and sump plug washer, as its only like a quid more than halfords and its the correct one for the car
dont buy halfords own brand oil either, its crap, better going for a good fully synthetic oil from a motor factors or one of the named brands from halfords since thats where your headed :)

I didnt go to this exact rolling road but I did get mine done recently and was pleased with the results:
136.8bhp
~121ftlb

This was from a 4-2-1 Raceland manifold, Decat and Raceland induction kit with green filter.

Gord, you know i would have given you a run for your money... and as for treating it like a slag, im the king at that! Might look after this one tho as iv put alot of effort into it and really dont want to make it a one run demon!
lol yeah, I'm sure you would ! :P

To be honest, i very much doubt much 106's would give it a good run for its money except for a few selected ones running boost lol.
I can't wait to see it up against some of the other big boys at knockhill mate :D
Have you been to the TrackScotland site? Theres a new Evo signed up and hes going. Does the 1/4 in 11 seconds lol
