Hey, im new, and your probably sick of reading these noob questions all the time. But hey, here goes....

Im looking into getting a sporting exhaust, ive read the guides and browsed the forums etc. I want a exhaust system WITH a cat. If anyone can help me out it would be great.

Thanx in advance

I believe that all 106's have a Cat in the Manifold,
Well i know mine does, and im assuming yours does to because i think its just GTI's and maybe Rallyes which have their cat seperate
So when you buy a Pugsport, you want the entire system, which will come with a de cat pipe, but this will NOT decat your car as the cat system is still in the manifold

That is what i believe is correct as i was asking the same questions as you =]

I know what your saying
your just like me =D
Pugsports are only available for 106's, so i would of thought they are purpose built for them, meaning it should be an easy fit

Best person to ask is Easty-5 or Fred (that is their User names if you want to send them a private message)

only cars 2000 onwards had cats in the manifold, have a look under your car jam and if u see a square box underneath then your cat is not in the manifold. look into getting a cat back system, sportex do cheapish ones.

haha :) ashley exhausts do good cat back systems as well, backbox and middle section. But for a similar price id buy a decat system, just keep your cat and original system for the mot, easy quick swap.

Nice. Is there any reviews on the sportex or ashley exhausts anywhere?
which would you recomend?

the sportex is a nice exhaust ive heard, and the ashley is nice one my mates vtr. but dnt expect mental power gains, as its only on a 1.1. looks and sounds are what your gaining on, i think price is the only main difference between the two.
