track layouts looking a good one
is the main straight of the oval going to be broken up with coned chicanes though as i heard/read it was going to be to cut down on people reaching silly speeds or soemthing
markd
23-05-2008, 06:25 PM
the main straight is NOT broken up until you hit turn one and you dive left into a chicane. You cannot do turn one on the oval as its too fast and dangerous in a road car.

23-05-2008, 06:47 PM
thats fine with me
i do hope noone is running standard pads or half decent brakes though cos once you enter that oval and go down the straight them brakes are gonna be well used to get slowed down for that chicane thats for sure
order them mintex pads now boys :)

Ps not implying thats a racing line
PPS when coming out of the pits, the cars will be coming in from your right into the chicane. Marshalls will wave drivers out.

so its 5pound to be a passenger all day??
does that 5pound cover insurance?? or how would you have to go about it and is a helmet a must??
markd
27-05-2008, 07:38 PM
£5 covers a passenger wristband all day. You need to sign on at sign on garages 35/36 like a driver
This is not personal insurance, it is the liability insurance for the track operator.
It is motorsport you don't get personal insurance as its your own risk.

Extract from rulebook for circuits including Rockingham:-
What clothing should I wear?
Other than the points indicated above (helmet, etc.), no specific safety clothing is required. Some customers choose to invest in race suits, flameproof clothing and race boots. Arms and legs must be covered at all times.
