Clubbing - shite

Clubs. I f*****g hate them with a passion.

"Hey, I have an idea. Lets all go into town, spend a total mint on watered down drinks that are full of ice-cubes and taste shite, then we'll go and stand and attemp to talk to eachother but we can't hear one another because of the shite music they keep playing. We'll try and shout over it so we all lose our voices. We know the music is shite, but we'll all dance to it anyway"

Clubs and clubbing are total crap and a waste of money.

I've recently found spending £20 on a good bottle of JD, a few quid on coke, £10 on some meat and sitting in my back garden listening to good music with good friends eating bbq food and getting absolutely wrecked on proper alcohol is a hell of a lot more fun!

i always prefered drinking underage at house parties when i was younger than i do going to clubs and drinking now.
its a rare occurance if i come home saying "i had a really good time" after going to a club.
usually the only times i have fun is if a girl is involved - rare.

I don't think I've ever come home from a club and been able to say I enjoyed it, not once!

now going out and just drinking are boring, id rather not waste my money on it.

I usually come home with bruises either (like last week) kicking a man in the balls and flying backwards on my arse, or trying to find the 'shortcut' on the way home and being slightly too adventurous with my choice.

Also, if we go out as a big group like we usually do, we always end up with someone getting in a fight, generally a trip to the hospital, which is always good for a brew, or someone getting nicked....

i dunno what it is about clubs though. when i go out i like to just sit with a nice cold drink, with my good friends and have a good lads chat. i only really enjoy clubs if the music is genuinely good which is a rarety, or im so off my face i dont remember i was in a club.
stick to bars and pubs in my opinion!

I agree with you in some respects.

When i go out...i go to about 4 or 5 different 'bars' where you hear yourself think and talk to mates etc, plus its easier to chat to women there too ;)

however i do like to go to a club at the end of the night as i enjoy a good 'dance' to either RnB or trance/dance. The only thing that annoys me are the drink prices...they are ridiculous!

Start off at weatherspoons, no music, cheap drinks, and a table and chairs. You get to talk to your mates, play some games such as the pregnant or fat game, other drinking games also.

Then when your half way gone, move onto a bar. Music, you can still talk. probably takes a little while to settle down in there, becuase i always feel like im unwelcome when i walk into bars.. dont know why.

Then i like getting food afterwards.. then a taxi. Then i like to be dropped off about 1 mile from the place we are staying and walk it, just for the humour.

What really pisses me off, if someone wants to go to bed, when they havent even got to get up the morning. that annoys me..

Sorry rob, that just don't interest me in the slightest. It still costs a fortune, even if drinks are half price. Then, when you do move onto a bar, its even more of a shock as the drinks are now full price. You ever been into the bar right outside the odeon, That has to be theeeeee most expensive bar in the whole of the entire universe.

S'all about comfy couches, low music and cheap drinks! I LOVE house parties as well! I don't mind going out round town if there is a load of us going to get hammered but i prefer low key places you can sit from 7 till closing, in anything you want to go in, get slaughtered and eat if you want :D

Haven't been in weatherspoons for years. I just hate going into town anywhere on a friday and sat night. I honestly coulden't think of anything worse to be doing. I would rather go ice skating and I REALLY f*****g hate that!

Clubbing sucks, going out at uni was fun but only because there were student only events.

As for expensive clubs, try my local one in Salisbury... 10 quid to get in and drinks (breezer, wkd etc) are 3.80!! Imaging buying a round for 4 mates :D

My local village pub + me + 6 good mates + a good lager = one very pleasurable Friday and Saturday night :)

Even then we don't leave till 2am ;)

Edit: for the record, clubbing does indeed suck, I don't even understand the Uni hype. My housemate goes out clubbing 2/3 times a week, with no job, and wonders why she's in so much debt :rolleyes:

tonights gonna be a good un got a load of people out for my birthday I'm curently on my 5th or 6th vodka coke and getting ready to go ptting my glad rags on. We're meeting in the local wetherspoons for a drink/chat (no music) then onto a more lively place then onto the only club in town. Its gonna be a top night most of us are coppers so hopefully we'll be recognised by doorstaff who'll let us in the front of the que or in for free whih is hat usually happens. I cant wait to get out and get on it!

got to agree clubbing was so much more fun when your were underage now its just shite

was good fun going to newcastle or lancaster in a big group getting totally mullered loosing everyone ending up with some random bird for a few hours find everyone in some shitty club later on then stagger back to the bus at stupid o'clock in the morning and finish off the drink that you left on the bus then die for a few hours get up and feel like shite for the rest of the weekend

i LOVE pubs so so so so much... im going to the pub at 2pm tomorrow after my exam and the qualifying in monaco :D clubs are ok sometimes but I tend to sit down as if I were in a pub. Its only good on student nights with all my mates. PUB ALL THE WAY.

i use to go out all time on streets and house partys but now just save the cash spend it on car and when it comes to the test drive there is not a better buzz on earth as it accelerates awwww man lol

You guys just go to the wrong pubs/clubs. As long as you pick reasonably priced places and have a few before you go out, you're laughing. That way, by the time you get to the club (only like dance/trance) you drunk enough to only need one or two drinks there. I agree though, I wouldn't go out every weekend or anything, its all about going with some good mates for a special occasion. Really get into it.

I agree with the above, haven't had a house party for ages. Used to have several at my old house, but now my Dad has moved and I live with my Mum so can't. Loved them and used to have the perfect punch (8 litres of Cider, 8 litres of Lambrini, 1 litre of Vodka, bottle of blackcurrent squash). I lie not, that is possibly the best punch ever, and is massive. If you need even more (unlikely) then just top up with lemonade and get it even more gassy, lol.

yeah am 17 and prefer house parties than going out. it costs a fortune for 1 night out drinks food taxis etc least £100:D
