i would imagine on my s1 1.1 that any strut brace for s1 gti should fit?

Might be a bit over-kill on a 1.1. Would maybe look at other handling mods before fitting a strut brace.
As for fitting, as long as the securing bolts are in the same place, I cant see any reason why it shouldnt fit

Erm they don't do S1 gti's btw. I'd say get a rallye or xsi one but if they have power steering they will have 4 bolts for the strutt instead of three, best thing to do is contact the place ur getting them from and give them ur model details.

All 106 strut braces go on the 1.1 S1, i have a GTi one on mine when it was a 1.1, same when i changed suspension to XSi, and same when i changed to AX GT struts!

Nope, it's nothing to do with PAS - Only the early 106s have the two bolt strut tops, after about K reg they all have four holes with three bolts. Only difference with PAS is that the struts are rotated 180 degrees, so the three bolts come through different holes. I don't think the OMP GTi brace will fit an S1 as it doesn't clear the bonnet. The XSi one should be fine though, or an S1 Rallye, though they are hard to fit (have to bend the scuttle panel up to fit it underneath).

^ As above with clearance, but another way round it is fitting bonnet raisers ;)
