I'm bored...here goes:

Bought my XSi after my AX died, and i got a bit of a bargain! Paid £580 for it at the beginning of april and this is what it looked like:

Needed a few things doing to it, and i wanted to give it a go at doing it all myself, to save a lot of money on labour costs!
It needed:

Speedo cable
Exhaust
4 Tyres
New coolant hose
Front numberplate
Locking petrol cap
Stereo
Instrument panel bulbs
A good clean!(along with some modifications on the way depending on finances)

First of all i got it home, gave it a good looking over, and a good clean.

Then i began to fix the problems. The first thing i did was the coolant hose, a simple job you thing, took me bloody hours as it was almost impossible to get the hose off of the heater matrix end, as i couldnt get to it, but got there in the end!

I then bought a precat XSi exhaust for £40 in very good condition, as mine had holes in it everywhere, just for the time being until i can afford a decent one. And picked up a free (temporary) locking petrol cap!

I then changed the speedo cable, again took hours for silly reasons! but managed in the end.
(still waiting for the logbook to come through before i could buy a numberplate)

I bought a Meguiars clay bar kit from Halfords, very expensive but amazing results!

Then bought a quickshift, a mate of mine had one on his s1 rallye which i drove and it makes a lot of difference.

Got bored one day and had a stone chip repair kit lying around, so used the paint to do the numbers on the gear knob!

which actually looks alright! then finally got the logbook through which meant i could get a number plate, which makes a hell of a difference, looks so much better now. also nicked a shiny peugeot badge from a scrapyard, not that i'm a thief, just that they dont sell anything for under a fiver, and i wasnt going to pay a fiver for it! that also made a big improvement.

Future plans...

Pugsport
White XSi alloys
Raceland induction kit (if it will fit)
White dials
New front indicators
S1 rallye carpet (red)
S1 rallye seatbelts (red)

And thinking about some peugeot sport decals, have done some photoshops (excuse the shitty photoshop skills)

Any opinions on this will be good!

And in the distant future when i actually have some money to spend:

S1 rallye inlet manifold
Remap
S1 rallye gearbox
Raceland 4-2-1
Lowered, 40/50mmThats about it for now! comments and advice appreciated...

Looks a really tidy XSi, bit of a bargain too :)

I think it would look great with the white XSi wheels ;) I like your gearknob too, I'm doing that to mine tomorrow :p

I'd put the PTS stripes on the bonnet but I wouldn't have the sunstrip, looks a bit OTT IMO ;)

Nice looking car. I agree with Rallye James; do the stripes on the bonnet, but don't do the sunstrip. It looks chav IMO

well ve got sum like thiners wipes tht we use at work.for wen mixin paint so i had 1 of these handy then put the paint n the emblem and if it went over the edges i just gave it a wipe with the solvent wipe and it got rid ,but nethin other wipes will just spread the paint and not wipe it off so be careful wot u use.

Think i used white spirit when i did my gear knob? got it off ok when it went over the edges. I only used the paint from one of the scratch repair kits from halfords maybe the paint isnt as strong i dont know.

This is going up for sale in a month or so, maybe sooner... will have years mot and 6 months tax, would be looking for close to £1000 considering the time and money i've spent on it. Wont put it in the for sale yet as mot is not done etc..just thought i'd put this up incase anyone is genuinely interested. Reason for sale is going to university so dont really need it and wont be able to afford to run it.
