if you say that all the wires are alright, then its possible that your sub's knackered, swap one over with one of your mates. that will narrow it down, if it works or not. the earth has to be touching bare metal, if the metal has paint on it then it wont work

Ok I will try this method just got to revise for a law exam
if this method doesn't work does it mean i have to buy an new amp aswell as a new sub
Check your sub wiring! If your amp seems to be working ok then you will only need a new sub! My sub stopped working becuase of a crap connection with the wires in the sub, soldered it back up though and now it is fine :)

ye wo just about to say unscrew ur sub frm ur box, check the voice coil n see if the solder has broken away on the connections..and giv it a wiff aswell.if it smells abit funny...then its usually coz its bin fried .lol but aslong as ur protection light on ur amp isnt on then it mite not b ur wiring..like has alredy bin stated check ur earth.best checkin with a voltmeter if u can get hold of one.coz sumtimes u may seem to hav the perfect earth..bare metal etc.but still mite not b strong enuff connection. but if ur amps fine then u will only need to change ur sub...like i said in another thread earlier ,make sure uve got decent thickness cable goin to ur sub.ordinary speaker wire is shite and will just fry ur sub .
