Could someone please tell me what goes on the left of this picture as mines missing! I had a look in my mates 2003 Quiksilver but hers doesnt have anything there! lol

Theres supposed to be a black plastic blanking plate, looks almost identical to the light, but just doesn't move/light up. Thought about replacing the blanking plate with another one of those interior lights a while back, just not got round to it. Could be something worth thinking about, you could have something more functional than bunging a blanking plate on.

Hello again lol, o i see, it has a circuit board there?? but i dont think there is enough room to put another one of them lights in there?

I think its the receiver for remote central locking and should have a black plastic cover over it.

Ah is that why theres a chip up there, didn't know there was one never taken the plastic thingy off. I dont have remote central locking, no button on key and too tight to fork out £80 to get one.:( hehe

Well if the circuit board and chip are there i would have thought you could get a remote key and have it programmed and it would work.

I'd ask at your local dealer and see if they can tell you before buying one tho
