Hi just bought a new fuel cap for my 106, but when i take the existing fuel cap off i cant get the key out of it. is there a release catch or something?

have you got a spare key?
the key wont com out unless the cap is in the hole!
but not shure if there is a catch someone on here will deffinatly know!

the key dose come out when it not in the hole m8 otherwise how would you swap standard one over to aftermarker:rolleyes: :)

deffo comes out matey cos mine locks into place but i just turn the key opposite way then it comes out not sure bout yours

Ive had this problem, you will need to have another key made or use your spare (cheaper just to get one made thats what i did) there is no release button or catch its the same on a pug 206 as well.

why not modify your old fuel cap?
take it out and cut off the lugs, then you'll be able to lock it to the car, remove the key, and it will just pop out ;)
