and i was wondering which would be the best for my 8v which would produce the best sound, i am looking for poping, banging and would like it pretty loud let people know im coming ;) lol... was thining of pug sport but after looking at this thread im not sure i realy like the magnex 1 :rolleyes:

go on ebay and type in 106 backbox and theres a few on there just a plain pic of backbox, there the best iv delt with, mines a zorst 2.5" and sounds the nuts cost me 42 pounds and was made to fit straight on my car love it pops when slowing down after ragging it, doesnt pop all the time tho

you cant beat the sound of a full decat system mate, dont care what anyone says it sounds heaps better than a backbox and there is no bottle neck pressure build up so it just flows so freely.

Pugsport is only loud when you drive it above 3k revs, other than that its quite dosile but it does sound shit hot!

IMO vids dont do exhausts any justice, you gotta hear them for real to get a good idea. iv had lots of pops and rasp out of the exhaust, i wouldnt know if iv had flames seeing as im looking forward when i drive lol

I was in the same position as you a couple of months back, fortunately i had a mate who had a pugsport and the first time i heard it i was like OMG i have to have one.

They are easy to fit aswell as they are designed for the car and go straite on in one, no problems!

Nothing else sounds like a pugsport thats what i love, they are so raspy and make really random pops etc.

I have a 2" on mine but have to say that the 3" looks equally as good.

Get a pugsport mate,

end of the day its designed for the car and if you dont like the noise then you can shoot me

mine pops when going from 4th to 3rd and braking quite hard, it also randomly pops a bit when driving along a country road at like 30ish and lifting off the throttle.

Other than that when driving it there are a few exact points in the rev range where you get that real raspy sound and almost goes from smooth to rasp to smooth to rasp, its addictive lol

dont tend to redline my car to be honest mate so not sure lol, it sounds best at like 3-5k revs then when you change into a higher gear sounds nice.

I have a mate who has one down the road from me tho and i can hear him coming from a mile away lol

Kam racing sell supersprint exhuasts for 8v at about £200 + p&p whould this be better then a pugsport one for performance?

um iv never used a supersprimt exhaust so couldnt tell you but iv heard they are good!

As for performance i would say theres probly nothing in it, they are both decat so im sure it just comes down to preference

yup the pug sport will fit with the 4-2-1 mani i beleive :)

Pugsprot or magnex max will sound completely different on your car 2 any other, different engines indcution etc.

Best thing to do, dont take this the wrong way is do what I did with my quicksilver, get a custom jobby.

You dont need a performance enhancing exhuast as you have a 1.1, and dect will boost your power abit, as Lee said get a full custom system, you can have it look exactly how u want and sound aswell.

I can honestly say ask Fuzzy aswell, my quicksilver was one of if not the best sounding 106s iv ever heard, and only had a full powerflow system, decat with a middlebox and a little back box, sounded the nuts.

Then theres exhaust uk at sheffield, amazing but expensive.

Complete waste of time with the manifold, its a 1.1 no need as id imagine its only a stepping stone.

Prices literally go from 200-500 quid, you need 2 ring and ask.
