Hi, i'm new on here so i thought i'd introduce myself and my cars. First up is my Red S1 Rallye i bought about 2 weeks ago now, picked it up cheap with a suspected head gasket fault.

Firstly stripped the engine to discoever it was not the head gasket to blame but 2 liner seals were damaged. New items purchased and shes back together and running lovely :)

Next on the to-do list was the rear beam as it appeared to be somewhat siezed. That turned out to be an understatement and a new beam was required. I opted for a gti beam that i stripped and rebuilt with new bearings and seals along with some powerflex beam mounts

Thats were my progress has ended at the moment, i'm currently awaiting a hand brake lever to complete the conversion. Next up is some decent suspension, 266mm brakes, braided lines and we'll see what happens after that.

Also, my other car is this white 205 2.0 turbo. I completed the conversion about a year ago (after my mi16 self destructed) and other than replacing the clutch a few dozen times, and a gearbox or two it really is a cracking car. Recently rolling roaded at Powerstation in Gloucester with 231bhp & 242lb/ft :):

I recognise the reg on that red Rallye, it was Mike W's old one off the RR. Very tidy looking car when I saw it last year :)

Seen some pics of that 205 before too, looks awesome! :D

Thanks for the comments :)

I'm assuming u all mean Gareth Dole? Yes he lives near me and showed a bit of interest in the car when i mentioned i was thinking of selling her on, but i think he chickened out when i offered him a test drive :p instead he bought a crappy corsa lol

I was tempted to 16v the 106 but decided i'd like to see what i could do with the 1300cc engine instead. If i'm not happy with it in a few months time i may be tempted to do something a bit more crazy, but cant justify having 2 silly cars at the moment (well not with the missus anway)

A quick update

I finally have the rear brake and beam setup completed, i am now only waiting for a phase 2 hand-brake lever. Managed to get the car out of the garage and take a few pics.

So here she is in her new lowered state, gonna need some new dampers soon tho:

Rallye looks very tidy, but that 205 is automotive Pornography.

I love that exhaust, it looks perfect on the S1. It's a custom jobby, not a Pugsport :)

Very nice cars. The rallye looks extreamly tidy, how much is it lowerd by.:)

Tbh i'm not sure how much its lowered by. I had a few sets of springs lying around in my garage, i know they're either off a mates 106 cup car or my 205 (i'v had a few different sets on that). I then just lowered the rear to match. I think it looks about right not too low or high. The dampers are awfully soft tho

As for the exhaust i'm glad someone cleared that up as i was told it was a Pug Sport but wasnt sure. I only have reciepts for the sport cat and the manifold

And also thanks for the comments about the 205, it owes me alot of blood, sweat and money lol
